The Believers Reward
Page 1

What I have done is to give you some literal highlights of the Believers Reward found in the scriptures to demonstrate it is a literal place that Jesus and the authors of the books of the Bible spoke of.

Most of the Bible, Genesis chapter 3 thru to Revelation chapter 20, is the clear and concise record of man’s "fall" in the garden, the responses and actions of men in their fallen condition and the redemption process the Lord has provided to redeem all of mankind from the consequences of sin.  This redemption is provided by a loving and personal God, who though sovereign, yet is also compassionate and ever-present to protect and preserve both in time and in eternity, by way of covenant relationship, all that trust in Him.

This redemption is not just for men, however, but all of creation.  Paul records for us some interesting insights in this redemption process.  In Ephesian he tells us “that in the fullness of the times God will gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth”.  He writes  in Romans  “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.  For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope, because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”   Peter also mentions this redemption in Acts when he preached that God promised through the prophets that He would “restore all things, which God had spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.”  Speaking of the New Heavens and the New Earth that is to come, in Colossians the Message paraphrases Paul's text as ...."that everything of God finds its proper place in Him without crowding.  Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe - people and things, animals and atoms - get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of His blood that poured down from the cross."  In other words, God is redeeming not only man but all of creation, because mankind and creation are inseparably linked together.

At the end of the Bible, in Revelation chapter 21-22 the Lord reveals the New Heaven and the New Earth, where all of creation has been redeemed and is now equal to or better than the original creation.  There is no death, no sorrow and all of creation is free to experience all of life eternally in peace and harmony.  Scattered throughout the scriptures are references to life in the New Heaven and Earth, giving us little glimpses of our redeemed future looking past earthly fulfillments to eternal rewards.  For instance, in the Psalms and prophets we see the text speaking of David’s offspring fulfilling his role as a righteous king in Jerusalem and the kingdom he will establish.

Believers down thru the centuries by and large never questioned its reality but instead found great comfort from this hope.

Now as you read the book of the Believers Reward may God richly bless you as you continue in the “Historical Highway thru the Bible”.

A prayer for you by Jesus

John 17:20-21 (Historical Highway)

I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word, that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

Believers Reward

John 17:6-26 (Historical Highway)

“I have manifested Your name to the men you gave Me out of the world.  They belonged to You, and you gave them to m Me, and they have obeyed Your word.  Now they understand that everything You have given Me comes from you, because I have given them the words You have given Me.  They accepted them and really understand that I came from You, and they believed that You sent me.  I am praying on behalf of them.  I am not praying on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those You have given Me, because they belong to You.  Everything I have belongs to You, and everything You have belongs to Me, and I have been glorified by them.  I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them safe in Your name that You have given Me, so that they may be one just as We are one.  When I was with them I kept them safe and watched over them in Your name that You have given me.  Not one of them was lost except the one destined for destruction, so that the scripture could be fulfilled. But now I am coming to You, and I am saying these things in the world, so they may experience my joy completed in themselves.

“I have given them Your word, and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.  I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but that you keep them safe from the evil one.  They do not belong to the world just as I do not belong to the world.  Set them apart in the truth, Your word is truth.  Just as You sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world.  And I set myself apart on their behalf, so that they too may be truly set apart.

“I am not praying only on their behalf, but also on behalf of all those who believe in Me through their testimony, that they will all be one, just as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You.  I pray that they will be in Us, so that the world will believe that You sent me.  The glory You gave to Me I have given to them, that they may be one just as We are one.  I in them and You in me that they may be completely one, so that the world will know that You sent me, and You have loved them just as You have loved Me.  Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, so that they can see My glory that You gave Me because You loved me before the creation of the world.

Righteous Father, even if the world does not know You, I know You, and these men know that You sent me.  I made known Your name to them, and I will continue to make it known, so that the love you have loved me with may be in them, and I will be in them."

Jesus preparing a dwelling place

John 14:2-3  (Historical Highway)

There are many Mansions, which are beautiful dwelling places, in My Father's house. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going away to make ready a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

Inherit the Kingdom prepared for you

Matthew 25:33-40 (Historical Highway)

And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.  Then the King will say to those on His right hand,

‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world,  for I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me, I was in prison and you came to Me.’

Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Kyrios, Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?  When did we see You a stranger and take You in or naked and clothe You?  Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’

And the King will answer and say to them,

‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

And these righteous will go away into eternal life.”
